The passing of the torch on the St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take centerstage at Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s residence, when Brian O’Dwyer, the activist and immigration and civil-rights lawyer, is launched because the grand marshal for subsequent 12 months’s parade.
O’Dwyer is the third member of his household to be grand marshal, following his father, Paul, the fiery Irish partisan, and his uncle William, the previous New York mayor.
