State Senator Jose Peralta dies of coronary heart assault


New York State Senator Jose Peralta died of an obvious coronary heart assault late Wednesday night time, mates and fellow lawmakers mentioned. He was 47.

Peralta, a Democrat, represented a Queens district that included numerous neighborhoods corresponding to Corona, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights and Woodside.

“Tragic information about @SenatorPeralta,” State Senator Mike Gianaris wrote on Twitter. “My coronary heart goes out to his household. Relaxation In Peace,” Michael Blake, a present candidate for New York Metropolis Public Advocate mentioned he was, “Actually confused.”

Peralta was the primary Dominican-American elected to the State Senate in March 2010.

This fall, Peralta was defeated in a Democratic major by Jessica Ramos. She then cruised to victory within the normal election for Peralta’s seat.
